Best TikTok MCP Servers in 2026: 12 Compared, and Which Can Post Publicly

TikTok's own MCP server is for ads, not posts. We checked 12 TikTok MCP servers against their own docs and TikTok's Content Posting API rules: which publish publicly, which post private-only on your own app, and which only read or scrape.

"Not stated" means the vendor's own page does not say. It does not mean the feature is missing. Vendors change fast in this space, so open the linked page before relying on any single cell.

Short answer: to post TikToks from Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor, use a hosted MCP server whose TikTok app has passed TikTok's Direct Post audit. You sign in with TikTok once, and your posts can go out publicly. Antwork (free for two accounts), Blotato and Upload-Post work that way. A server on your own new developer app can only post private videos until you pass that audit yourself, and TikTok's own MCP server is for ads, not posts.

This page sorts the twelve TikTok MCP servers that come up most, using two sources only: each vendor's own documentation and TikTok's own developer documentation. Everything was checked on 21 October 2026, and every row links to where the fact came from. For servers that post to every network, see social media MCP servers compared.

What TikTok's API lets any MCP server do

Every server that publishes uses TikTok's Content Posting API, and its rules decide what a server can do before you compare features.

RuleWhat TikTok saysSource
Unaudited apps post privately"Unaudited API Clients can only post contents in SELF_ONLY viewership." Lifting it requires the client to "undergo an audit"Content sharing guidelines
The creator picks the audience"Users must manually select the privacy status from a dropdown and there should be no default value"Content sharing guidelines
Interactions start off"Users must manually turn on these interaction settings and none should be checked by default"Content sharing guidelines
Daily posting limit"There is a limit on the number of posts that can be made to a creator account in a 24-hour window via Direct Post API"Content sharing guidelines
Drafts go to the inboxWith Upload instead of Direct Post, users "must click on inbox notifications to continue the editing flow in TikTok and complete the post"Upload content

Three practical consequences:

  1. Ask whose app it is. If the server uses its own audited app, posts can be public. If it uses yours, they are private until you pass the audit.
  2. Your AI cannot pick the audience silently. TikTok requires the creator to choose it, every time, from the options TikTok offers that account.
  3. Direct Post and drafts are different jobs. Direct Post publishes. Upload sends the video to your TikTok inbox to finish in the app, where you can add a sound.

Publishing servers, one by one

Antwork

OursVendor docs ↗

A hosted MCP server at https://api.antwork.io/mcp. You add the URL to your AI app and sign in with TikTok once. Antwork posts through its own TikTok app, which passed TikTok's Direct Post audit on 19 October 2026, so posts go out with the audience you choose, public included. Your AI drafts the caption from the account's recent posts, saves a draft, and publishes or schedules only when you approve. The same connection covers LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest, and one campaign can take a launch to several accounts with a different text for each. It works in Claude, ChatGPT (as an official app), Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. The first 2 accounts are free, with up to 15 TikTok posts a day per account.

Limits
Video only: no photo carousels, and no drafts sent to your TikTok inbox. As TikTok requires, you pick who can see each post in its TikTok settings in Antwork; your AI cannot set it for you. TikTok post metrics are not available yet.

A hosted server at https://mcp.blotato.com/mcp that posts videos and photo slideshows to TikTok. Its page notes that "TikTok requires an app review before your posts appear publicly rather than as private drafts", and that Blotato handles that review. Scheduled posts go out without Claude being open. Blotato also generates visuals and video. MCP access needs a paid plan; the 7-day trial does not include it.

Upload-Post

Vendor docs ↗

The broadest TikTok feature set here: videos, photo carousels of up to 35 images, all four privacy levels "limited per account by TikTok", and a draft mode that sends the video to your TikTok inbox so you can add a sound in the app (in that mode TikTok ignores the caption and privacy sent through the API). It posts through "Upload-Post's approved TikTok app", signs in with OAuth or an API key, and its server code is MIT-licensed. Pick it if carousels or inbox drafts matter to you.

Open source (AGPL-3.0), with a cloud version and an MCP included in every plan. It supports both TikTok modes: post directly, or upload to the inbox. Self-hosting means bringing your own TikTok developer app, which posts SELF_ONLY until TikTok audits it.

Buffer and Metricool

Both run official, OAuth MCP servers included on their Free plans, and both support TikTok as a channel in their apps. Buffer's MCP page does not say whether TikTok posting works through the MCP; Metricool's Claude directory listing names TikTok among its 11 networks. A good fit if you already schedule in one of them. See Buffer MCP vs Antwork and Metricool MCP vs Antwork.

Servers on your own TikTok app

Composio exposes nine TikTok tools, including publishing a video from a URL and photo posts of 1 to 35 images, but "Tiktok requires connections to go through your own OAuth app". tiktok-studio-mcp runs locally on your own developer app and defaults to inbox drafts; its publish mode needs the video.publish scope and, for public posts, TikTok's audit. Until your app passes the audit, both post private videos only.

Ads and read-only servers

TikTok for Business MCP is TikTok's own, and it is about paid ads: "campaign management, performance reporting, audience configuration, and creative operations". Pipeboard manages TikTok Ads campaigns and creatives. Seym0n/tiktok-mcp reads subtitles, post details and search results through TikNeuron, and Apify scrapes videos, hashtags and profiles. None of the four publishes organic posts.

How to connect a TikTok MCP server

The steps are the same for any hosted server. Here they are with Antwork's URL; swap in your vendor's.

  • Claude (claude.ai and Claude Desktop): Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste https://api.antwork.io/mcp, then sign in when asked. The walkthrough is in how to connect Claude to TikTok.
  • ChatGPT: Antwork is an official app in ChatGPT's directory: open its listing, click Connect, sign in and approve.
  • Claude Code: run claude mcp add antwork --transport http https://api.antwork.io/mcp, then /mcp to sign in.
  • Cursor: add the URL as a remote MCP server in Cursor's MCP settings.

Then give it the video and ask: "Write a TikTok caption for this clip in the style of my last posts, and schedule it for Friday at 6 pm."

Before you give an AI publish rights on TikTok

  • Check the audit before the features. A server on an unaudited app posts privately, however good its tools are.
  • Keep a review step. Choose a server that saves drafts and publishes only on an explicit request.
  • Respect the daily limit. TikTok caps posts per creator account in a 24-hour window, across every app that posts for you.

Post from your AI, in your own voice.

Connect Claude or ChatGPT once. Drafts start from your recent posts, and nothing goes out until you approve it.

FAQ

TikTok MCP servers, answered

Does TikTok have an official MCP server?
Yes, for ads. The TikTok for Business MCP Server covers campaign management, performance reporting, audience configuration and creative operations, with 'no developer credential, API key management, or custom coding' required. It does not publish organic videos. Every MCP server that posts to a TikTok profile is third-party, built on TikTok's Content Posting API.
Why do my TikTok posts from an MCP server come out private?
Because the TikTok app behind the server has not passed TikTok's audit. TikTok's content-sharing guidelines say 'Unaudited API Clients can only post contents in SELF_ONLY viewership', and lifting that requires the client to 'undergo an audit'. Self-hosted servers on your own developer app (Composio, self-hosted Postiz, tiktok-studio-mcp) hit this. Hosted servers with an audited app, such as Antwork, Blotato and Upload-Post, can post publicly.
Can Claude or ChatGPT post to TikTok?
Yes, through a TikTok MCP server. Add a hosted server such as Antwork to Claude as a custom connector, or connect Antwork's official app in ChatGPT, sign in with TikTok, and your AI can draft the caption and schedule or publish the video. TikTok requires a video (or photo images, where the server supports them), so the AI needs your media first.
Can a TikTok MCP server choose who sees my post?
TikTok's guidelines say 'Users must manually select the privacy status from a dropdown and there should be no default value', and the chosen level must be one of the options TikTok offers that account. In Antwork you pick it in the post's TikTok settings, which your AI links you to; Upload-Post lets the agent check which privacy levels an account allows before posting.
Is there a free TikTok MCP server?
Antwork is free for two connected accounts, with up to 15 TikTok posts a day per account. Upload-Post lets you create an account for free, Composio has a free plan with 100,000 tool calls a month, Postiz can be self-hosted for free, and Buffer and Metricool include their MCP on their Free plans. Open-source servers are free but run on your own TikTok developer app, which posts private-only until audited.
Does a TikTok MCP server work with ChatGPT?
ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers, so you need a hosted one. Antwork is an official app in ChatGPT's directory, and Blotato connects as a custom MCP plugin over OAuth. Local GitHub servers run on your machine and do not work in ChatGPT unless you host them yourself.
