Connect GeminiOpens Gemini with the server URL copied
  2. 2
Add Antwork as a custom appUnder Custom apps, click Add a custom app, enter https://api.antwork.io/mcp as the MCP server URL and click Next. Leave Advanced features alone: those credentials are only for servers without dynamic client registration, and Antwork has it.

Sign in to AntworkFollow the on-screen instructions to sign in to Antwork and approve the connection. Then type @ in a chat, pick Antwork, and ask it to connect your account: it gives you a connect link per platform.

Google documents custom apps for personal Google accounts only (not work or school), for people 18 or over in the US, in English, with Keep Activity on. Google may limit availability by country and plan.

The short answer

Can Gemini manage your social media?

Yes, through a connector.

Gemini does not post to social media on its own. Antwork is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector you add as a custom app in Gemini's Connected Apps settings. You connect each account once on that platform's own login screen, and from then on Gemini drafts, schedules and publishes to LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Bluesky, Discord, Mastodon and Telegram from the conversation, through each platform's official API.

  • 12 platforms, one connectorEvery account you connect is there in the same chat.
  • One idea, a post per accountEach version is written for its platform and that account's voice.
  • You approve every postDrafting and publishing are separate steps. Nothing goes out until you say so.

Questions

Gemini and social media, answered

Why don't I see Custom apps?
Check Google's requirements first: a personal Google account rather than a work or school one, 18 or over, in the US, Gemini in English, and Keep Activity on, since custom apps are unavailable while it is off. Adding one only works in the web app at gemini.google.com. Google may limit availability by country and plan.
Do I need an API key?
No. Gemini registers itself with Antwork's sign-in, so leave Advanced features empty, and you approve the connection on Antwork's consent page. You can revoke it any time from Settings, then Connected apps, in Antwork, or turn the app off under Custom apps in Gemini.
How do I make Gemini use Antwork?
Type @ in a prompt and pick Antwork, then ask in plain words, for example to draft this week's LinkedIn post.
Will Gemini post anything without asking me?
Drafting never publishes. Antwork's tools save drafts as drafts, and scheduling or publishing is a separate, explicit step you ask for. Google also says Gemini asks you to confirm a custom app's write actions.
