The short answer

Can n8n manage your social media?

Yes, through an MCP server.

n8n does not post to social media on its own. Antwork is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server you add as an MCP Client Tool on an AI Agent node. You connect each account once on that platform's own login screen, and from then on each n8n run saves drafts for LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Bluesky, Discord, Mastodon and Telegram, and you publish them from Antwork through each platform's official API.

  • 12 platforms, one connectorEvery account you connect is there in the same chat.
  • One idea, a post per accountEach version is written for its platform and that account's voice.
  • You approve every postDrafting and publishing are separate steps. Nothing goes out until you say so.

Questions

n8n and social media, answered

Is there a workflow I can import?
Yes: antwork.io/templates/n8n/rss-to-antwork-drafts.json. Import it into n8n and every new article in your RSS feed becomes one draft per social account, each in that account's voice, with the article image attached. The drafts go to Slack for approval, and only an approved set is scheduled. Set the feed URL, your accounts and posting hour, a chat model, Slack, and one Bearer credential with an Antwork API key.
Can it run unattended without the OAuth sign-in?
Yes. Create an API key in Antwork under Settings, then Developer, and set the node's Authentication to Bearer Auth with that key as the Bearer Token. Antwork's server at https://api.antwork.io/mcp accepts the key as a Bearer token. A key reaches everything your account reaches, so keep Tools to Include limited to the drafting tools.
Will the workflow publish anything?
Not unless you build it to. create_post saves a draft, and only schedule_post or publish_post sends one. Leave those two out of Tools to Include and the workflow can only draft; you publish from Antwork. If you do want a workflow to publish, add publish_post on purpose, knowing every run then posts. The importable template keeps the agent to drafting and schedules only the set you approve in Slack.
Which chat model does the agent need?
Any model n8n can attach to an AI Agent node. Antwork does not write the posts; the model does, from the recent posts get_post_context returns for that account.
