"Not stated" means neither the listing nor the vendor's page says. It does not mean the feature is missing. Listings change often, so open the linked page before relying on a single cell.

ChatGPT can schedule your posts, but only through the right plugin. Search ChatGPT's plugin directory for social media and you get schedulers, video makers, ad dashboards and a LinkedIn plugin that does not post, all mixed together. This page sorts them by the job they do, so you can see which ones put a post on LinkedIn, Instagram or X, and which only feed the work around it.

ChatGPT apps are now called plugins: OpenAI's developer docs are titled Plugins, and Usecarly's tracker dates the move to 9 July 2026. Inside a plugin, an app is still the connection to the outside service, which is why developer mode still says "create an app".

One source per fact: the plugin's own listing in ChatGPT's plugin directory, or the vendor's own docs, linked in every row. Everything was checked on 13 October 2026. Using Claude instead? Pick by job

  • You want one tool that posts and reports. Metricool. Its listing schedules and updates posts, retrieves analytics and finds recommended posting times.
  • You post the same idea everywhere. Pallyy or post bridge. Both create scheduled posts across several networks in one request.
  • You make short video. post bridge. Its listing's own example schedules one video to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
  • You live on Pinterest. Tailwind. It drafts Pins from a webpage, schedules them to boards and shows posting times.
  • You already run your queue in Buffer. Buffer connects in developer mode and reaches the queue you have.
  • You want drafts that sound like you. Antwork. Before drafting, your AI reads that account's recent posts and their engagement, and nothing goes out until you ask.
  • You need the visuals, not the posting. Canva or Adobe.

Plugin by plugin

Plugins that publish

Listed as "Analyze and schedule posts", made by Metricool Software S.L. The listing says it helps you "inspect connected brands, retrieve social media analytics, review scheduled content, find recommended posting times, and create or update posts from ChatGPT". The ChatGPT listing does not name networks; Metricool's Claude listing for the same server names 11. Metricool's help center says its MCP works on any plan, including Free, with Free limits still applying.

Limits
Metricool's MCP FAQ says inbox messages, post comments and ad campaign management are not available through its MCP. On its Free plan, X is an add-on and LinkedIn is not included (pricing).

Listed as "Schedule social media posts", made by Pallyy. It plans content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads, Bluesky, X and Google Business Profile: it creates "draft or scheduled posts across several networks in one go", updates captions, media and publish times, imports images and videos to your media library and adds calendar notes.

Limits
The listing names no analytics tools and no plan requirement.

post bridge

Vendor docs ↗

Made by Jack Ingram Media Inc. The listing says it lets you "create, schedule and publish posts across 10 social platforms" from one connected account: X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Bluesky, Threads and Google Business. It can also "pull back views, likes and comments for posts you've published", and it handles per-platform media rules and captions.

Limits
The listing names no plan requirement.

Listed as "Schedule social posts", made by Postiz. It lists connected channels and groups, checks each platform's requirements, uploads or generates media, and creates "drafts or scheduled posts". Its sample prompt names X, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, YouTube, TikTok, Reddit, Pinterest, Bluesky and Google Business. Postiz is open source, and its hosted plans start at $29 a month.

Limits
The ChatGPT listing does not say which Postiz plan it needs.

Listed as "Create & plan Pinterest Pins", made by Tailwind App. It generates Pin drafts from webpages, manages boards, researches group boards, shows recommended posting times, schedules Pins and edits or deletes unpublished ones.

Limits
Pinterest only.

Antwork

OursVendor docs ↗

A hosted MCP server at https://api.antwork.io/mcp, added in developer mode with OAuth and no API key. It posts to LinkedIn (profiles and company pages), X, Instagram, Facebook Pages, Threads, TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest. Every post lands as a draft first; scheduling and publishing are separate steps you ask for. Before drafting, your AI reads that account's recent posts and their engagement, so drafts start from how you already write. The same URL works in Claude, Claude Code, Cursor and VS Code.

Limits
Not in ChatGPT's plugin directory yet: Antwork's submission is in OpenAI's review, so for now you add it in developer mode. Eight networks, so no Bluesky, Reddit or Mastodon, and no inbox, DMs or ads.

Buffer's guide connects ChatGPT on the web in developer mode: a new app named Buffer with https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp and OAuth, "No API key needed". Its example prompts view scheduled posts, create a draft post for a channel and list channels with posts scheduled for a day.

Limits
Not found in ChatGPT's plugin directory on 13 October 2026, and the guide does not say whether ChatGPT can schedule or publish, only that it creates drafts.

Plugins that create

Listed as "Create, review, edit designs". It turns a brief or draft copy into a presentation, poster, flyer or social post, and generates images. Its own example: "resize this poster as an Instagram post". It makes the design; it does not post it.

Listed as "Design, combine, and edit", previously available as Photoshop. The listing covers editing photos, "designing social assets, resizing videos" and searching Creative Cloud assets.

Plugins that research and measure

Listed as "Grow on YouTube, IG & TikTok". It finds videos outperforming their creators' usual results on YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, compares YouTube keyword estimates and helps with titles. Research for your next video, not a scheduler.

Windsor.ai

Vendor docs ↗

Listed as "Connect 350+ data sources". It pulls performance data from your connected marketing sources, such as comparing Google Ads and Meta Ads spend and return. Windsor.ai also lists separate plugins per source, including Instagram, Facebook Ads and TikTok Ads.

Plugins for sales and lookup

Listed as "Insights to action in HubSpot". It reads from and writes to deals, contacts, companies, tickets and engagements, prepares reports and logs calls and emails. Social posting is not mentioned.

Made by LinkedIn, listed as "Find the right professional": "Look up any professional on LinkedIn without leaving ChatGPT. See their title, company, location and follower count." It is the only plugin here made by a social network itself, and it does not post.

How to add a plugin to ChatGPT

  • From the directory: open Settings, then Plugins, choose the plugin and select Install plugin or Connect, then sign in to the account that has your data. In a chat, mention it with @ or pick it from the + menu.
  • By URL (developer mode): turn on developer mode, then create an app (developer mode still calls it that) with the server's MCP URL and OAuth. For Antwork that is https://api.antwork.io/mcp; for Buffer, https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp. OpenAI's article on developer mode covers plans and workspace controls.

Before you let ChatGPT post for you

  • Keep a review step. OpenAI's help center says ChatGPT "may ask for approval before reading information or completing an action". Leave plugin permissions on asking until you trust the plugin.
  • Check what the grant covers. Some plugins reach your inbox, comments or ad accounts, not just posts.
  • Know where the plugin comes from. OpenAI says apps in its approved registry "have been reviewed before availability", and that you are responsible for vetting servers you add yourself in developer mode.

Post from your AI, in your own voice.

Connect Claude or ChatGPT once. Drafts start from your recent posts, and nothing goes out until you approve it.

FAQ

ChatGPT plugins for social media, answered

Are ChatGPT apps now called plugins?
Yes. OpenAI's developer documentation is now titled Plugins: 'Build and publish plugins with skills, MCP servers, and optional UI', and the public directory is chatgpt.com/plugins. Usecarly's tracker dates the move to 9 July 2026, when apps started shipping inside plugins in one directory shared by ChatGPT and Codex. Inside a plugin, an app is still the connection to an outside service, and apps you already connected keep working.
What are ChatGPT plugins, apps and connectors?
Apps connect ChatGPT to services you already use. OpenAI's help center says some 'let ChatGPT take supported actions in the connected service'. What used to be called connectors now lives under Settings, then Plugins, where a plugin 'can include one or more apps, skills, or both'. The public directory is at chatgpt.com/plugins.
Is there a ChatGPT plugin for LinkedIn?
Yes, made by LinkedIn, but it is for finding people: its listing says 'Look up any professional on LinkedIn without leaving ChatGPT'. It does not post. To post to LinkedIn from ChatGPT, Pallyy, post bridge and Postiz name LinkedIn in their directory listings, Metricool's MCP covers it on paid plans, and Antwork and Buffer connect in developer mode.
Which ChatGPT plugins can post to Instagram?
Of the thirteen here, Pallyy, post bridge and Postiz name Instagram in their ChatGPT listings, Metricool's MCP covers it too, and Antwork posts to Instagram once you add it in developer mode. Instagram only accepts posts from Business or Creator accounts, whichever tool you use.
How do I add an app by URL in developer mode?
Turn on developer mode, then create an app with the server's MCP URL and OAuth. Buffer's guide gives the steps for its own server: Settings, then Apps or Connectors, Developer mode under Advanced settings, then a new app with https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp. For Antwork the URL is https://api.antwork.io/mcp.
Which ChatGPT plans can use plugins that post?
It depends on the route. OpenAI says directory app availability 'depends on the app, your ChatGPT plan, region, workspace, role, model, and the ChatGPT interface you use'. For developer mode, OpenAI says full MCP with write actions is rolling out in beta to Business, Enterprise and Edu, and that 'Pro users can connect MCPs with read/fetch permissions in developer mode'. We completed Antwork's setup from a Free account on 26 September 2026, so check your own account.
Is Buffer in ChatGPT's plugin directory?
We could not find it: searching the plugin directory for Buffer returned no plugin on 13 October 2026. Buffer's own guide connects it in developer mode with https://mcp.buffer.com/mcp and OAuth, 'No API key needed'.
