ChatGPT reaches Antwork through an app you create in Developer mode. It takes about a minute: switch the mode on, add Antwork's server URL, and sign in. There is no API key at any point.

Turn on Developer mode first. In ChatGPT open Settings → Security and login and switch on Developer mode. Without it the Plugins page has no + and there is nothing to paste the URL into. OpenAI lists it for Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu on the web (not the mobile apps), though a Free account completed this setup when we tested it on 26 September 2026. On a work account your admin may have to allow it. If you can't find the switch, Claude connects in one click instead.

The short answer

Yes. ChatGPT can post to X (formerly Twitter) through Antwork, a Model Context Protocol (MCP) app. You create an app in ChatGPT's Developer mode with Antwork's server URL, sign in to Antwork, and approve X once on X's own OAuth screen. From then on ChatGPT drafts posts in your voice, counts them the way X does, and schedules or publishes them to your account from inside the conversation, through X's official API. Shipped something small this week that fixed a big thing. Our token refresh ran daily but checked X (Twitter) against a five minute expiry window, so it could only ever catch a token that happened to die inside those five minutes. It never did. Accounts just went quiet.

X weighs characters rather than counting them. Every URL counts as 23 however long it is, and anything outside the Latin range counts double. Antwork counts the same way the server does, so a draft that fits here is a draft that posts.

A GIF is not an image

X is the only platform where Antwork treats GIF as its own media type with its own ceiling: one per post, up to 15 MB, and never beside a photo or a video.

Four slots, and they do not mix

Up to four images in a post, but images and video can never share one. Ask for both and the agent splits them before it drafts rather than failing at publish.

It takes a PDF, but on its own

X accepts a document post up to 100 MB. Unlike LinkedIn it cannot ride alongside images, so a document here is the whole post or none of it.
