Antwork for Zapier
Turn any Zapier trigger into an Antwork draft, then schedule or publish it to your connected social accounts. Every post starts as a draft, and nothing goes public unless your Zap has a step that sends it.
What it does
Antwork drafts, schedules and publishes posts to the social accounts you connect to it. The Zapier integration brings that to any Zap: a new row in a sheet, a form answer, an RSS item or a product launch can become an Antwork draft, and a later step in the same Zap can schedule or publish it.
Trigger
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| New Published Post | Starts a Zap when a post goes live on a social account through Antwork. Optional filters: workspace and social account. Needs read. |
Actions
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| Create Draft Post | Saves a draft for one social account, with optional media URLs and a proposed time. Never publishes. Needs write, and media for media URLs. |
| Schedule Post | Schedules an existing post. It goes public on the social account at the time you set. Needs publish. |
| Publish Post Now (Goes Public) | Publishes an existing post right away. Needs publish. |
Search
| Step | What it does |
|---|---|
| Find Post | Finds an Antwork post by its ID. Needs read. |

Add Antwork to your Zapier account
You also need an Antwork account with at least one social account connected. Signing up is free. Create an Antwork account
Connect your account
Zapier signs in to Antwork with an API key. You create it once in Antwork and paste it into Zapier.
- In Antwork, open your workspace, then Settings > Developer > Manage API keys.
- Create a key and name it, for example
Zapier. Copy it straight away: it starts withak_and is shown only once, because Antwork stores only a hash of it. - In Zapier, add an Antwork step, choose to connect a new account, and paste the key into API Key. Zapier names the connection after your workspace.
Scopes each step needs
A key carries scopes, and every scope includes read. Keys created in Settings carry all four today, so one key covers every Antwork step in Zapier.
| Scope | Used by |
|---|---|
| read | Every step: the connection test, the workspace and account dropdowns, New Published Post and Find Post. |
| write | Create Draft Post. |
| publish | Schedule Post and Publish Post Now. |
| media | Media URLs on Create Draft Post. |
How each step behaves
Create Draft Post
- Always saves a draft. It never publishes, whatever the trigger sends.
- One social account per step. To post the same idea on several accounts, add one Create Draft Post step per account, each with text written for that platform. One body is never sent to several accounts.
- Media URLs are public links to images, videos or PDFs. Antwork downloads each one into your media library first, then attaches it to the draft. This needs the
mediascope. - Proposed Time only stores a time on the draft. It does not schedule anything; add Schedule Post for that.
- The output carries the Post ID for the next step, a link to edit the draft in Antwork, and whether the text is over the character limit or the platform still needs media, so a Zapier filter can stop before sending.
Schedule Post
Takes a Post ID and a Publish At time, in the future and at most 30 days ahead. The post goes public on the social account at that time. You can unschedule it from Antwork.
Publish Post Now (Goes Public)
Takes a Post ID and publishes it to the social account immediately. The post is public as soon as the step runs, and it cannot be undone from Zapier.
Find Post
Looks a post up by its ID. When no post matches, the search returns no result rather than an error, so the Zap can branch on it.
New Published Post
A polling trigger: Zapier checks Antwork for newly published posts on your Zapier plan's schedule, so a Zap starts some minutes after the post goes live rather than at the same second. Leave workspace and account empty to watch every one.

Repeated steps
Every step that creates or sends something carries a key made from the Zap, the step and its input. If Zapier replays a step, Antwork returns the first answer instead of making a second draft or a second publish. In practice:
- The same Zap sending identical input twice within 24 hours makes one post, not two.
- Running Publish Post Now again on the same post within 24 hours returns the first result instead of trying again. To retry a failed post, retry it from Antwork.
Errors and fixes
When Antwork refuses a step, Zapier shows Antwork's message with a hint. The common ones:
| Error | What to do |
|---|---|
| insufficient_scope | The key lacks the scope this step needs. Create a key in Settings > Developer > Manage API keys and reconnect Antwork in Zapier. |
| 401 | The key was revoked or is no longer valid. Zapier asks you to reconnect: create a new key and paste it into the connection. |
| 429 | Too many requests in a short time. Zapier waits for the time Antwork asks for and retries on its own. |
| text_too_long | The text is over the platform's character limit. Shorten it before publishing. |
| media_required | The platform needs media: Instagram (image or video), YouTube (video), TikTok (video) and Pinterest (image or video). Add a media URL to the draft. |
| tiktok_choices_needed | Choose the TikTok settings on the post in Antwork, then publish or schedule it from there. |
| pinterest_board_required | Pinterest pins need a board. Pick one on the post in Antwork. |
| token_invalid | The social account needs reconnecting in Antwork, under Connections. |
| subscription_inactive | Your Antwork subscription is inactive. Reactivate it under Billing. |
| idempotency_in_flight | The same request is still running. Zapier retries it shortly. |
Character limits and media formats for every network are on the platform reference, and request rate limits on the REST API overview.
